Our team is growing, and MELD Manufacturing is looking for a self-motivated, hardworking, quality minded, safety-focused Senior Process Engineer. In this role, you will be an important part of our team, at the forefront of development for specific applications and materials for an international clientele as you develop the MELD process for specific applications and materials to ensure quality, cost, and production targets are met.

Primary responsibilities

• Develop processes and process improvements for new materials and applications
• Design and supervise experiments
• Compile results and prepare reports and/or presentations
• Communicate with internal and external customers
• Work closely with metallurgists and others within the materials and process team
• Identify potential improvement opportunities to hardware and software development teams
• Support continuous improvement in automated processing

Other responsibilities may include:

• Support MELD integration into 3rd party software platforms, for example slicer software
• Create and implement standard work instructions for operation of MELD machines
• Create and maintain necessary process documentation for standardized operation

Required:

• 6 years in process development activity
• 2 years in friction stir welding or other friction stir processing method

Position Summary:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other reports to assess accuracy and completeness for submission to management
• Review account reconciliations and manage internal cost allocations
• Responsible for customer invoicing and managing AR
• Ensure approvals of labor transactions and conduct labor processing
• Monitor cost controls to ensure compliances with applicable requirements
• Management asset listings and depression schedules
• Support external and internal audits
• Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets and forecasts
• Assist in cash flow forecasting
• Other duties as assigned and opportunities to learn and grow

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• 5-8 years’ experience in accounting or financial industry
• Sound knowledge of GAAP, FAR, and SOX regulations
• Well organized with ability to prioritize and attention to detail
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficient in QuickBooks

Other Desirables:

• Working towards CPA of CMA certification

MELD Manufacturing is looking for a self-motivated and versatile machine assembly technician. In this position the assembly technician will assemble high quality machine sub-components, complete MELD machines, manage a small range of necessary inventory, assist with machine maintenance and repair, and lead shop housekeeping efforts.

Specific activities include:

• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing request for and verifying receipt of supplies.
• Read and interpret engineering prints/specifications, electrical schematics, manufacturing manuals, and/or verbal/written instructions to determine necessary assembly of machine.
• Plan assembly procedures and methods to assure efficient and timely progress. May transport specified parts from storage manually or by using various mechanical lifting aids e.g. forklift trucks, etc.
• Assemble complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems units where precision, extreme care, skilled workmanship, and accuracy are required to meet strict inspection, testing and operating specifications.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools.
• Perform assigned task without damaging customer facing finishes.
• Troubleshoot electrical controls utilizing multimeter, amp meter, and/or oscilloscope.
• Use a variety of precision measuring and gauging instruments such as scales, calipers, micrometers, etc., to inspect and verify conformance of parts to specifications/tolerances.
• Strictly follows all safety requirements for hand and power tool operation, the assembly of parts, forklift and hoist operation, and housekeeping.
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions and assisting with repairs.
• Lead 5s initiative in shop by working in a clean and organized manner; completing assigned 5s improvement projects

Required:

• Requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• 3-4 years’ experience as a machine assembler or maintenance technician is preferred
• High School or equivalent technical degree preferred.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, mechanical diagrams, electrical schematics, and bills of materials.
• Understands and can perform the mechanical, pneumatic and electrical assembly of machines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis

In our team driven environment, you will provide feedback and suggestions for improved processing of material and machine controls. Come check out the cool things we are doing in the rapidly expanding metal additive field. If you don’t have any 3D printer experience, don’t worry, we’ll train you!

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate CNC controlled MELD machines
• Program and edit basic G code for MELD machines
• Perform basic maintenance on MELD machines
• Prepare raw materials to be used in the MELD process
• Work with engineering and technical team members to improve or develop processes and materials
• Occasionally work with customers on developing processes and material specifications
• Work on multiple parallel projects and task.
• Maintain cleanliness of work and shop areas
• Provide feedback to management, engineering, and co-workers regarding machines, projects, or processes that you are working on.
• Other task may include MELD project shipping prep, disassembly and packing of MELD machines, shop reorganization projects, and operating testing equipment.
