2018: The Birth of a Dragon

As we move into 2019, we’d like to take a look back at our first year as MELD Manufacturing Corporation. Successfully Launched MELD Manufacturing Corporation

Took Part in the Army’s xTechSearch

In August, MELD™ was selected to take part in Phase I of the Army’s Expeditionary Technology Search (xTechSearch) due to the technology’s ability to create lighter-weight, high-strength combat vehicles. Read more…

Awarded SERDP Funding for Battlefield Scrap Research

That same month, we were awarded funding in collaboration with the University of Alabama by the Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program (SERDP) to support researching the use of MELD™ technology as a method for recycling battlefield scrap metal. Read more…

Became a Finalist in the R&D 100

Named Winner in Create the Future Design Contest

MELD™ was next named the winner of SAE/Tech Brief’s Create the Future Design Contest in the Robotics/Automation/Manufacturing category. The competition awards the year’s best in engineering and 2018 saw more than 800 entries from over 60 countries. Read more…

Joined the Build Virginia Advisory Board
